Car Rental & General Questions

Everything you need to know before you pick up the keys.

How old do I have to be to rent a vehicle?

You need to be 21 years old and have a valid driver's license with at least two years of driving experience.

What if my flight is delayed?

We ask all of our customers to provide their flight number at the time of reservation so that we can check in case your flight is delayed or arriving early.

How do I change or cancel my reservation?

I am currently in a rental with your company; can I extend the agreement by phone?

All rentals can be extended depending on the availability of the vehicle. Please call us at +389 2 3228 808 or e-mail us at george@george.com.mk for your extension needs.

Are pets allowed in the cars?

Pets are allowed in rental vehicles. Customers must return their rental car in clean condition and free of pet hair to avoid cleaning and detailing fees.

Can vehicles be delivered?

Yes, vehicles can be delivered. You will be given the option to write the wanted address when making a reservation. Depending on the location, it can be free of charge or fees may apply.

Which documents do I need to present when I show up for my rental?

At the time of pick-up you have to present:

  • Your driver's license
  • Your passport or photo ID
  • Your form of payment

When does the actual rental start?

The actual rental is based on a 24-hour basis and starts with the exact time of pick-up which is normally printed on the rental agreement.

What kind of optional equipment is available?

Baby seats, child seats, roof racks, ski racks, or GPS.

All optional equipment is on request only (pending confirmation) and must be paid for locally.

Do I need an international driving permit (IDP)?

If your driver's license is not in the Roman alphabet and/or if you travel outside of Europe, an International Driving Permit is strongly recommended (in addition to your valid license). In some cases it is mandatory.

Can friends or family members drive the same rental car?

Any additional driver needs to be registered in the rental agreement. They must be present at pick-up and provide a valid driver's license and passport/photo ID.

Can I drive into other countries and cross borders?

You need to request this at the time of reservation. Extra fees may apply. It depends on the destination and countries you plan to visit.

Can I return the car when the location is closed?

Yes, an agent will be present to accept the return at the time stated in your agreement.

How do I pick-up my vehicle?

Arrivals in airports and other public places will be greeted with a hand-held sign. Vehicles may also be delivered and returned to hotels and other locations.

Is a car rental deposit required?

Yes. Deposits vary by vehicle category:

Economy

Compact

500€

Sedan / Van / SUV

1000€

Will there be an additional charge if I'm late to returning the vehicle?

No additional charge for being 1–2 hours late. Anything more than 3 hours will be charged as a full day price.

Accident, Breakdown & Fuel

What to do if something goes wrong on the road.

What should I do if I get in an accident in a rental car?

Always contact us first at the emergency numbers stated in the agreement. Then fill out the "EU accident form" (located in the glove compartment) or call the local police, depending on the situation.

What should I do if my rental car breaks down?

Contact us first at the emergency numbers. You will either take the car to the nearest repair shop or receive a replacement car.

Do I need to refuel the vehicle before returning? Can I pre-pay for fuel?

We use the full-to-full fuel policy, but you can pre-pay for fuel upon request.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept:

  • Debit cards
  • Credit cards
  • Cash
  • Bank transfers

Do I get a partial refund if I return the vehicle early?

A partial refund is given only if we are notified 48 hours prior to your return.

Is insurance covered in the rental price?

Third-party insurance, vehicle insurance, and passenger insurance are included. All vehicles also have Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess ranging from 200€ to 1000€ depending on the category.

Shuttle / Transfer Questions

Door-to-door transfers and airport pickups.

What is your refund policy on cancelling a shuttle service?

We offer a full refund for all cancellations made 48 hours before the trip.

What vehicle will I be riding in?

The vehicle will typically be either a sedan or a van, depending on the number of people.

Where will I be picked-up?

Our driver will pick you up from the previously agreed location. At the airport, the driver will meet you outside of customs due to security restrictions.

How will I recognize your company?

We will have your name on a hand-held sign which will also have our logo.

How far in advance should I book my transfer?
